%X The effects of exogenous application of different concentrations(0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2 mmol·L-1) of methyl jasmonate on phenotypic characteristics and photosynthesis and physiological characteristics under 15% PEG-6000 stress were studied with the Scutellaria regeliana as experimental materials. The results showed that:exogenous application of methyl jasmonate enhanced the net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance and transpiration rate of S.regeliana. It mainly plays a role in promoting these and effectively reduces the damage level of the S.regeliana. The intercellular CO2 concentration was decreased, and the effect of 2 mmol·L-1 methyl jasmonate on the net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance and intercellular CO2 concentration of S.regeliana was the most significant. The free proline content of the treatment group lower than CK. The soluble protein content lower than CK in the first 6 d treatment, and was significantly higher than that of CK after 6 d treatment. Exogenous application of methyl jasmonate can increase the activity of SOD, POD and CAT as a whole. The results of photosynthetic parameters and physiological indexes of S.regeliana showed that exogenous application of methyl jasmonate could effectively alleviate the adverse effects of drought stress on S.regeliana.
