%X The seeds of <i>Trollius ledebouri</i> Reichb. were used by different concentration and treating time of GA<sub>3</sub> to promote germination, and their buds were inoculated on different types of medium with different hormone. A rapid propagation system by tissue culture was established and become basis for large-scale production of <i>T.ledebouri</i>. The results showed that:(1)the seeds of <i>T.ledebouri</i> Reichb was efficiently sterilized by 0.1% HgCl<sub>2</sub> for 20 min after soaking in 600 mg&#183;L<sup>-1</sup> GA<sub>3</sub> solution for 48 h and the germination was high; (2)the suitable medium for multiplication of <i>T.ledebouri</i> was MS+0.5 mg&#183;L<sup>-1</sup> 6-BA+0.1 mg&#183;L<sup>-1</sup> NAA; (3)the suitable rooting medium was MS without any hormone.
