%X A study on dynamics of the catalase(CAT) from the seedling of four species of larch were made by means of iodometry. The results showed that CAT activities (25℃, pH 7.0) of larch seedling is 48.8 ~ 77.9 U&middot;g<sup>-1</sup> FW；Km values 8.3&times;10-2~2.38&times;10-1 mol&middot;L<sup>-1</sup>；Vmax 0.071~0.200 &mu;mol&middot;min<sup>-1</sup>; Optimum temperatures 15~25℃. From adaptive range of temperature, <em>L. principis-rupprechtii</em> and <em>L. gmelini</em> are wider, <em>L. olgensis</em> and <em>L. chinensis</em> are narrower. Optimum pH 7.0. Adaptive range of <em>L. chinensis</em> is the narrowest, it may be degenerate species.
