%X The species <em>Stauranthera grandiflora</em> Benth. is reported as a new record for Hainan Island, China. The voucher specimens in the present paper are preserved in Herbarium of South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences，namely Herbarium of South China Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBSC).
